Huddled inside the nest
Well on their way to growing up.
Midnight black eyes,
Pointed beaks –
Almost all of their attire is in place.
But their surroundings do not look comfortable at all.
Their nest is
Smelly, tiny, and cramped.
Two of them sit, heavy, on the third chick —
Which makes the nest look even less spacious.
And where is their mother?
They are all alone.
But siblings stick together –
Through the sunshine and the rain,
Through the good days and the bad –
They are always there for each other.
~ Hebrews 13:1
“Let brotherly (and sisterly) love continue.”
